Marvin was born April 17, 1936 in Rock Island to Wilfred and Alice DeWulf Belshause. He married Elaine Bush on October 27, 1956 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan.
With hands of steel and a heart of gold, Marvin used his time here on Earth to grow a family and a farm while also working construction. He spent his spare moments watching NASCAR or reading books by Louis L'amour. On sunny days he could be found in his garden tending and nurturing the land he loved so much. He devoted much time to the Civil Air Patrol as a senior volunteer. Early Sunday mornings he attended Catholic Mass. He loved his children and was a devoted husband. He was always known for saying "I have places to go and things to do"
Marvin's family would like to thank Dr. Porubcin and the nurses and staff at Trinity for their love and support.
