Marvin J. Goff, age 78, of Milan, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial is at Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Marvin was born June 4, 1932 in Moline, the son of Marvie and Frances Beardsley Goff. He married Pamela (Causemaker) Millsap on January 3, 1998 in Rock Island.
Marvin was employed as a gear lab technician at International Harvester-Farmall in Rock Island for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 1304. Marvin liked to rebuild cars. He enjoyed 20 years of racing at Cordova and also at the Mississippi Valley Fair Grounds. Marvin was a member of the Rock Island County Conservation Club. He was a big Dale Earnhart Sr. Fan. Marvin was also an avid bowler, and enjoyed bowling with his son and his friends in the Town and Country Social League in Rock Island. He liked to hunt, trap, fish, camp, and do anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and great grandson Joshua James Goff on January 27, 2011.
