Marvin W. Solomonson, 52 of Orion died May 1, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Services for Marvin Solomonson are 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Beulah Presbyterian Church, Orion. The Rev. Charles Cunningham will officiate. Burial is in Beulah Rural Township Cemetery, Rural Township, IL. Visitation will be 4-7p.m. Tuesday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
Marvin W. Solomonson was born February 3, 1953, in Moline, the son of Kenneth Carl and Violet Mae (Watkins) Solomonson. He married Sharon K. Spires on April 1, 1989 in Orion. He was a graduate of Orion High School and Black Hawk College.
Marvin was the owner of Solomonson Investments, a financial consulting company. He served on several boards and committees such as Reliv International's Board of Directors. He received awards including the Dr. Ted Humanitarian Award in 1993 for his work with Reliv in nourishing our world.
Marvin was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, going to their athletic and music events. He loved sports and was a loyal Cub fan.
