Mary Frances Bird, 89, of Moline, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to donor's favorite charity.
Mary was born on January 20, 1921 in Moline, to James and Pearl Hamilton Ellis. She married Nicholas Bird on January 24, 1945 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1987.
Mary graduated from Moline High School in 1940. She worked at the former Franciscan Hospital. She was a lifetime member of First Christian Church, Moline. She was also a volunteer for the Stand Down Homeless Veterans Clinic.
