Mary J. Dennison, 76, of Hampton, IL, died February 2, 2017, at home.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2017, at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope.
Mary was born on January 5, 1941, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Louie and Illa Turbethan DeShane. She married Joe Dennison on May 10, 1958, in Rock Island, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2012. She worked as a janitor for Deere & Co.
Mary enjoyed going to yard sales and watching westerns. She loved her family and her dog, Max.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Cassandra) Dennison, Muscatine, IA; daughters, Rox Ann Richards, East Moline, IL, Marty (Joey) Roberts, Osco, IL, and Peggy (Andy) Mason, Hampton, IL; 10 granddaughters; 1 grandson; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; siblings, Lloyd (Sandy) DeShane, Cambridge, IL, David (Karen) DeShane, Erie, IL, and Illa Stogsdale, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Louis; sister, Karen.
