Mary W. Dickgiesser, 88, of Rock Island, formerly of Woodbridge, CT died August 22, 2006 at Silver Cross/ Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
There will be no services. Burial will be in Connecticut. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Mary was born April 4, 1918 in New Haven, CT to Andrew and Kate (Barber) Winton. She married Robert Charles Dickgiesser on May 16, 1942. He preceded her in death in September of 1994.
Mary received her BA from Connecticut College and her Ph.D. in chemistry from Yale University.

Amelia (Frank) Winton Canadian, TX
Andrea (Karl) Huntoon Moline, IL
Son Charles Dickgiesser Summerville, SC
