Mary A. Dietsch

Mary A. Dietsch, 84, of East Moline, passed away, January 15, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to an animal shelter or charity of choice. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Mary was born on January 16, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, to William Henry and Esther Mae (Bond) Wilcox. She was previously employed at the Rock Island County Health Department and later with Catholic Social Services. She retired from Visiting Nurses in Rock Island in 2001. She was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Army from 1961-62. Mary enjoyed crocheting and had a love of animals. She was kind and generous to her favorite organizations. Mary loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Brad) Peters, Davenport, Roberta (Neil) DePorter, Colona; grandchildren, Chloe (Mellon) File, Davenport, Ashleigh DePorter, Colona; great granddaughter, Khari File; sister, Judy (Gene) Stolbom, Silvis; nephews and their extended families. She also had a close friend, Marty Hines, whom she thought of as a sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
