Mary Lou Gamber

Mary Luella "Mary Lou" Gamber, 88 of Rock Island formerly of Owenton, KY died February 20, 2006 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Friday, February 24, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park.
Mary Lou was born February 19, 1918 in Moline to William Earl and Mary Anders Jackson. She married Harold Gamber in 1958 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Mary Lou was employed as a beautician in downtown Moline for many years. She retired as a clothes presser from Seaford Clothing. She was a member of the Homemakers Club in Owenton, Kentucky. She collected elephants and enjoyed doing crafts.
Survivors include her son Melvin VanBlair of Davenport and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Laverne, Eugene and Bill Jackson.
