Mary L. Lee, 90, of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, May 31, 2013, in her home with her granddaughter, Beverly Armstrong faithfully by her side.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Mary's wishes are for memorials to be made to your local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.

Mary was born on June 7, 1922, in Moline, IL, the daughter of John Arthur and Emily (Cox) Engstrom. She married Lee on October 12, 1944, in Rock Island, IL, and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1998. Mary worked as a cook for several schools in East Moline as well as the former Lexington House Nursing Home. Later she worked for Whitey's Manufacturing. She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, bird watching and embroidery work. Above all, she very much loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary has joined her husband, Lee, of 54 years; her son, Randy Lee, who passed on June 26, 2003; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.

Her family wishes to send a special thank you to special nurse Missy of Homebound and special nurse Christine of Genesis Hospice for their wonderful care to Mary and her family.
