Mary Anne Parrish

Mary Anne Parrish, 76, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, at her daughter’s home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Bethel Assembly of God, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery.

Mary Anne was born on January 28, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Anthony and Katherine (Grotegut) Bredar. She married David M. Parrish on December 30, 1967, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. She was previously employed as a registered nurse and as the Assistant Director of Nursing at Trinity West Hospital in Rock Island retiring in 2005, after 35 years. She was an active member of Bethel Assembly of God. She enjoyed puzzles and playing games with her husband and family, which she enjoyed winning (especially against her husband). She loved spending her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, David; children, Anthony (Jami) Parrish, Ankeny, Iowa, Michael Parrish, Moline, Katherine (Joshua) Parr, Rock Island; 8 grandchildren, Brandon (Abby) Parrish, Taylor (Tana) Parrish, Allycia Parrish, Kelsey (Marcus) Martin, Thomas (Kaylin) Parrish, Karly Parrish, Abbigail Parr, Calvin Parr; 2 great grandchildren, Micah Parrish and Nolan Martin; brother, Stephen (JoAnn) Bredar, Bettendorf.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
