Maurice G. Peters, age 65 of Rock Island died Monday, March 27, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline.
Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory,Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church , Moline, St. Mary's Food Pantry or the American Heart Association.
Maurice was born February 6, 1941 in Moline the son of Maurice Alton and Mildred A. Grady Peters. He married Alice Mohr on June 10, 1972 in Moline.
Maurice was employed as a laborer at International Harvester. He was a life member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was very active in the food pantry. Maurice was a member of the 2nd Alarmers, the Foresters, and also the Moline Jaycees who recently awarded him with The Ambassador Award. He was a past Grand Knight of Leo Council # 716, and past Faithful Navigator at Loras 4th Degree Assembly of the Knights of Columbus .
