Melissa Sue (Swanson) Talbot

Melissa Sue Talbot, 57, of Moline, passed away at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus in Silvis on Monday, October 7, 2019.

A funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. in Moline.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.  Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.

Melissa was born on August 15, 1962 the daughter of Donald and Mary Fleming Swanson.  She married Alan “Randy” Talbot in Rock Island on August 10, 1989.  He preceded her in death on January 11, 2010.  She was employed as a housekeeper by The Element in Moline.

Melissa was full of life and enjoyed making people happy.  She loved spending time with family, friends and most of all her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter; Amber Porter, Rock Island, grandchildren; Paige Porter, Riley Porter, Jazmynn Babers, Jayvion Babers; siblings, Tom Swanson, Tim Swanson, Fred Swanson, Todd Swanson, Monte Swanson, and Lisa Oliva.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, Laurie Swanson, Kevin Swanson, and Sheryl Rhodes.
