Melodie Rose England, 48, of Moline, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 28, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 2:00 ~ 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Melodie was born on January 11, 1963 in Quincy, Illinois to Frank and Dorothy Stice England.
Melodie was an accountant for King Food Distribution. Prior to her employment there, she worked for Tri-State Co. in Bettendorf for 14 years, the US Postal Service in the Remote Encoding Center in Davenport, as well as the Davenport Bank. She graduated from the American Institute of Commerce with a degree in Accounting. Melodie was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. She was a freelance photographer winning many awards in the Quad Cities Area. She loved exploring nature, was an avid reader, loved music and travel. She was a member of a local archeological society. Melodie was a very devoted aunt and friend.
