Michael Dewey Vale, 61, of Matherville, IL, died Monday, August 12, 2013, at Unity Point Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, Dewey asked for memorials to be made to his family.
Dewey was born on August 5, 1952, in Rock island, IL, the son of Dewey Joseph and Harretta Grace (Morton) Vale. He worked as a laborer for Laborer's Local Union #309, retiring in 2002. Dewey belonged to the Eagles Club in Matherville. He enjoyed drag racing and working on vehicles.
