Mildred Kerr, 91, of Orion died, April 5, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 10a.m. at Orion United Methodist Church with Rev. David Schultz officiating, Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Orion. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orion United Methodist Church or Trinity Pathway Hospice.
Mildred was born May 13, 1915 in Quincy, IL to Casper and Nellie (Chase) Mast. She graduated from Quincy High School and attended Quincy College. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938 with a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics. She managed the Producers Dairy Company restaurant in Springfield before her marriage. She married Willard Kerr on August 29, 1942 in Springfield, IL. After her marriage she stayed home to raise her family.
Mildred was a member of the Orion United Methodist Church where she was active in the woman's group. She also enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader, bowling, cooking, gardening and fishing at Lake Warren.
