Milton, E. Hagberg, age 88, of Moline, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at First Lutheran Church, 1230-5th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church Music Fund.
Milton was born March 27, 1920 in Wausa, NE., the son of C. Axel and Sigrid (Anderson) Hagberg. He married Elsie Krantz On August 14, 1948 in Hammond, IN. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2002.
Milton was employed as a math teacher for 34 years in the Moline school system, retiring in 1984. He was an army veteran of World War II. Milton was a member of First Lutheran Church, Moline where he was a former member of the church council, the choir, and the brotherhood of the church. He was also a member of Thor Lodge, Moline.; Moline Vikings; Moline American Legion Post #246; Moline Retired Teacher Association; and Augustana Oratorio Society.
Milton had a summer home in Minnesota on Lake Ossawinamakee, and also enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling.
