Milvina Jessica "Pee Wee" Freymuller, age 96, formerly of Moline and Cedar Rapids, died May 11, 2009 in Palm Harbor, FL.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Anyone wishing to attend the service should meet by 10:00 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline to proceed to the cemetery.
Milvina was born July 12, 1912, in Sac City, IA, the daughter of Milton and Christine (Aven) Sherwood. She married Maxwell Freymuller. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Milvina was president of her high school class. She was a member of the Eagle's Ladies Auxiliary Drill Team Aerie 1112 of Moline while residing there. Upon moving to Cedar Rapids, Milvina had been a member of Asbury Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for years in the 60's. She was an avid Gemologist and belonged to many Rock Hound Clubs, including the "Hunters Club" of Cedar Rapids and the Cedar Valley Gem and Mineral Club. Millvinia loved cooking, raising Irish Setter dogs, boating, fishing and camping. She enjoyed her family more than anything else and cherished her time with them.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws, Maxwell "Mick" Freymuller his wife Karen, Doug Brown and his wife Mona both of Florida; daughter, Nancy DeGrote of Cedar Rapids; sister, One and Clark Weary of Ida Grove, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Sydney, Arnold, Donald, & Milton Sherwood and sisters, Bessie & Cora.
