Mina M Fisher

Mina Margaret Fisher, 94, of Moline, died Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Hope United Church of Christ, followed by a luncheon at the church.  Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Oakwood cemetery in Geneseo. Visitation will be at 4-6 on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Hope United Church of Christ.

Mina was born on June 1, 1923 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Herman Scherer and Lillian Weaver. She married Roland F. Fisher March 2, 1946 at Gordon Memorial Church in Moline. She graduated Moline High School and was employed as a bookkeeper but most of all enjoyed being a homemaker for all her married life. Mina was a member at Hope United Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family camping, traveling, and picnics. She always made holidays more special. Mina was an artist and loved crafts of all types. Most importantly, family was the center of her life.

Survivors include her son Steve (Paula) Fisher, Chuckey, TN; daughters, Diane Foster, Colona, IL, Debbie Callahan, Troy, IL, Cindy (Kurt) Simmons, Dublin, VA; grandchildren, Gary Fisher, Gina Williamson, Terri Fisher, Scott Fisher, Marc Fisher, Carolyn Davis, Jennifer Cartwright, Christy Callahan, Donald Callahan; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roland Fisher, son, Gary Fisher, grandson, Richard Fisher, and sister, Gertrude Rossatti.
