Nedra D. Howarth, 92, of Milan, IL died Friday, February 17, 2012 at Rock Island Nursing & Rehab, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. There will be no visitation. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded after the service. Burial of cremains will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Nedra was born on July 4, 1919 in Lomax, IL the daughter of Jesse and Nellie (Sutton) Royce. She married Merle Joiner in 1938 in Davenport, IA. Later she married Lloyd A. Howarth in 1973 in Moline, IL. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1982. Nedra worked for Rock Island Railroad in Silvis. She later worked at Uptown Restaurant and Adolph's both in Moline. Nedra enjoyed watching soap operas.
