Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Nelda Benner, 90 of Rock Island, passed away March 21, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf.
There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Nelda was born on January 14, 1921 in Table Grove, IL the daughter of Ivan and Jesse Wright Himegarner. She married George "Bud" Benner on November 30, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa and they celebrated their 70th anniversary last November.
Nelda was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church in Rock Island. She was an avid golfer, playing on various leagues, and she enjoyed gardening and reading. Nelda's family was the most important thing in her life.
