Nell Louise Reynolds, 86, of Moline, IL, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with services.
Nell was born on November 22, 1929, in Ollie, IA, the daughter of Harry and Edna Fritchen Shy. She married Cloyce Reynolds on May 30, 1948, in Ollie, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1994.
Nell enjoyed needlepoint sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed working puzzles and crossword puzzles. In her younger years, she loved traveling with her husband, Cloyce, in their motorhome.
Survivors include her son, Tim Reynolds, Godwin, NC; daughter, Christine Albrecth, Swisher, IA; adopted daughter, Dayna Smart, Aledo, IL; 9 grandchildren, Annika (Zach) Wiese, Cassandra (Jon) Osborne, Andrew (Kim) Strombeck; Adam Young, Jacob Albrecth, Allison Albrecth, Jessica Albrecth, Chad (Karen) Reynolds, and Jody (Brian) Williams; 9 great grandchildren, Nancy, Kathryn, Bryn, Ben, Emily, Abby, Ryley, Randy, Anna, and Lorelei; brother, Henry (Carolyn) Shy, Yuma, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Allen Reynolds; and daughter, Nancy Strombeck.
