NoraB Mary Henson Sass, 97, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Aperion Care, East Moline, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial of cremains will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
NoraB Henson was born on June 3, 1919, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Claude and Christina Jilek Henson. She married Oren “Keith” Sass on September 2, 1972, and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2016. She worked as a drill press operator for Eagle Signal in Moline and then for 10 years as a presser for a dry cleaning service. Later, she worked as a receptionist for the University of Iowa Hospital and then for Longmont United Hospital in Colorado, from where she retired.
NoraB was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith; son, Bill; and brothers, Gus and Arthur.
