Norine Lockett, 80, of Rock Island, died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Trinity Advocate Hospital, Chicago.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2601-15 St., Moline, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the "Hugs from Home Ministry" of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Norine was born on May 26, 1926 in Horton, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Cassie (Woodson) Bogguess. She married DeMelvin Lockett on January 25, 1948 in Moline.
She was employed by the RISD #41 for over 30 years retiring as a Para Professional Teaching Assistant. She was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church since she was a teenager.
