Norma Jean Cooper

N. Jean Kindelsperger Cooper, 80, formerly of Lynn Center and Swedona, IL, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Avonlea Cottage, Milan, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Swedona Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at the church. Private family burial will be at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swedona Women of ELCA or Pathway Hospice Volunteers. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jean was born on September 15, 1932, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Karl H. and Helen Ann Marie (Wongstrom) Lindgren. She graduated from Orion High School in 1950 and was employed at John Deere until her marriage to Wayne Kindelsperger on March 21, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1978. Later, she married Andrew T. Cooper on December 29, 1991, in Swedona. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1995. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed family life on the farm. She was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher and church organist for many years. Jean was a former choir director and her love of music was an important part of her life. In her earlier days she enjoyed sewing. She was also a volunteer with Pathway Hospice where she gained many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wendell, and great grandson, Jack Lundell.
