Norma Jean Snell, 83, of Lynn Center, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her home.
Private services will be held. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family.
Norma Jean was born on May 27, 1938, in Moline, the daughter of Frank “Bud” and Rosebud (Freeman) Lee. She married M. Dale Snell on July 11, 1959, in Morris, Illinois. She graduated form Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She worked for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse with Moline Public Hospital. Norma used her nursing skills volunteering on medical missions to Haiti for over 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, crocheting, reading, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include her husband, Dale; children, Brenda Snell-Snapp (Jim Larson), Orion, Brad (Debbie) Snell, Sherrard, Beth Liedtke (Neil Hamerlinck), Orion, Bryan Snell (Rebecca Carpenter), New Windsor, and Bobbie (Sam) Pilger, Holland, MI; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Debby (Tom) Gainey, Lynn Center; brother, Richard Lee, Moline; sister-in-law, Beth Lee, Orion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Becky L. Grundstrom; brother, Robert “Bob” Lee; and sister, Joyce Woodley.
