Norman R. Mudd, age 76, of Moline, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Norman was born August 23, 1932 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Fred and Hattie (Donovan) Mudd. He married Marilyn Feuser on November 9, 1963 at St. Alphonsus Church in Davenport.
Norman was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was .employed as a lithographer at DeSaulniers in Moline, retiring in 1994. Norman was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Moline. He was also a member of Moline American Legion Post #246, Moline Horticultural Club, Quad City Botanical Club, and American Turners. Norman was an Iowa Hawkeye fan, and he enjoyed gardening, stained glass, and hot air ballooning.
