Orville L. Borkhart

Orville L. Borkhart, 74, of Coal Valley, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Greenview Chapel Mausoleum at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Orville was born on April 5, 1943 in Moline, the son Jesse R. and Bernice Moody Borkhart.  He married Joan D. Latham on November 19, 1962 in Rock Island.  Orville was the owner and operator of Orv’s LeClaire Service Station in Moline.  He attended Bible Missionary Church in East Moline.  He was a member of the 2nd Alarmer’s in Moline, and of the Sons of Union Veteran’s of the Civil War.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; daughters, Tracey (Leroy) Fisher and Jennifer Borkhart; grandchildren, Jamie Huff, Zach Huff, Orville R. Fisher, Nylayia Fisher, and Jerrice Fisher; great grandchildren, Taelin, Kalise, Kaleeya; brother, Leroy (Lorreen) Borkhart; sister-in-law, Gerry Borkhart; as well as his two special friends, dogs, Duke and Joey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger.
