Patience J. "Pat" Nelson, 79, of Moline died Sunday July 23, 2006 at Bickford Cottage, Moline.
There will be a visitation Tuesday, July 25, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Moline Memorial Park followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. Memorials may be made to Niabi Zoo, Heartland Hospice or Bickford Cottage of Moline.
Pat was born March 5, 1927, in Bellevue, IA to Henry and Florence (Williams) Anderson. She married Robert L. Nelson on November 21, 1952, in Moline. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2004.
Pat was a graduate of Bellevue High School and University of Iowa. She taught 2nd grade at Grant School in Moline from 1950-1952.
Pat was active in her children's lives and many church, civic and charitable organizations throughout her life. Her accomplishments and skills were many.
She loved and was loved by her family, friends and her dogs and cat.
