Patricia "Trish" G. Volkman, 64, of Davenport, died November 23, 2008 ,at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House after a courageous three year battle with brain cancer.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be3 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at New Hope Church (2305-7th Avenue, Moline). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline at a later date.
Trish was born August 11, 1944 in Moline the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Carlquist) Etcher. She graduated from Clearwater Florida High School in 1963. She married Gene Satterly that same year in St. Petersburg, FL. Trish was united in marriage to Ron Derfler in 1984 and they lived in Hann, Germany for seven years. She married John Volkman in Las Vegas, NV March 28, 2000.
Trish was employed at Younkers for ten years, working at both South Park and North Park Malls. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf. Among the things she enjoyed were shopping, traveling and gourmet cooking.
