Pauline L. Beard, 93 of Rock Island, died on October 4, 2013 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island, Illinois.
In keeping with Pauline's wishes, her body was donated to science through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Services will be held at the 1st United Presbyterian Church of Moline at a later date. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family with arrangements.
Pauline was born on December 30, 1919 in Popejoy, Iowa to Bert and Henrietta Wentzel Petrie.
Pauline retired from the Wilson Jr. High Cafeteria in 1974. She was a longtime member of the 1st United Presbyterian Church of Moline where she also served as a deacon. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, travelling and driving. Most of all she enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
