Pauline Moon

Pauline L. Moon, 89, of Moline, passed away, August 27, 2024, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Moline Church of Christ. 

Pauline was born on September 7, 1934, in Grant, Alabama, the daughter of Gladys (Bell) and James Bevel. She married George F. Moon on June 28, 1952, in Iuka, MS. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2009. Pauline was a member of the Moline Church of Christ. She worked as a reception in admissions at the former Lutheran Hospital then at UnityPoint, where she retired in 2004 after for over 38 years.

Survivors include her sons, Bill (Debra) Moon, Moline and Terry Moon, East Moline; son-in-law, Larry Rice, Moline; grandchildren, Angela (Darren) Brant, Amanda (Michael) Krahl, Jim (Kasey) Moon, Janette Koepke, Jennifer Moon, and Brittany Moon; 9 great grandchildren; many great step grandchildren; and sister Vivian (Ken) Osborne, Tallahassee, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Gladys; husband, George; daughter, Beverly Rice; sister Lois Kirkland, and brothers Kenneth and Clayton.
