Philip was born June 7, 1948 in Moline, the son of Joseph Emery and Adrienne (Martin) Nonnenmann. He married Linda L. Green on August 22, 1970 at St. Anne's Church in Welton, IA.
Phil was a graduate of St. Ambrose University. He received a Doctorate of Dentistry in 1973 from the University of Illinois. He was a self employed dentist in Rock Island for 35 years.
He was an avid fisherman making several trips to Canada each year, including the Northwest Territories. He enabled friends and children the opportunity to experience these adventures that they would otherwise have not known. He also explored the fishing world abroad, traveling to Costa Rica and Honduras. His fascination for mushroom hunting and curiosity led him to explore the forests in Prague.
He was a naturalist, a gardener, a hunter and a student of science and history.
His generosity of spirit and willingness to share his knowledge defined him throughout his life, passing his wisdom to his children and wide eyed grandchildren.
