Phillip David Klingborg, 81, of East Moline, died January 22, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Friday, January 25, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Christ United Methodist Church (3801-7th St. East Moline, IL 61244) or the Moline Vikings Scholarship Fund (1450-41st St., Moline, IL 61265).
Phillip was born December 10, 1926 in Cherokee County, IA to David and Anna Carlson Klingborg. He married Mary Carolyn Noah on September 10, 1955 in Port Byron, IL and resided in East Moline.
Phillip worked for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline for 33 years, retiring in 1982. He also worked for many years at Bob Cobert's Men Wear in East Moline.
Phillip was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1949~1951. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. He was also a member of Moline Vikings Thor Lodge #9, Moline American Legion Post #246 and East End Club, Moline.
