Phyllis Ydeen Baccus, 95, of Moline, IL, died Monday, February 18, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded, there will be no visitation, and a private family memorial service will be held. Inurnment will be at Rock Island Memorial Cemetery with her husband, Charles O. Ydeen. The family requests memorials may be made in her name to the Brandon M. Ballard Foundation, c/o 9710 85st. Ct. W., Taylor Ridge, IL, 61284. The Foundation brings cancer awareness to the classrooms of high school students in Illinois.
Phyllis was born on October 27, 1917 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Walter and Kathryn (Bruchman) Edstrom. She married Charles O. Ydeen June 4, 1939, in Moline, IL. Together they ran Charles' family business, Ydeen's Men's Wear, downtown, Moline. Charles passed on December 30, 1984. Phyllis later married William Baccus on May 12, 1990, in Moline. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1992. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Moline as well as Mothers Circle, Mary Martha Unit, and Mary K. Hillhouse Kings Daughters. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several card clubs with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Charles W. Ydeen; great grandson, Brandon M. Ballard; and brother, Fred W. Edstrom.
