Pum Fay, 84, of Moline, passed away, April 11, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Sacred City, Moline, IL.
Pum was born on February 10, 1940, in Battambang, Cambodia. He married Tem Hul, then later widowed and married Roeun Min. Pum loved to go fishing, take care of his garden, paint, and dance. He was employed by the Cambodian government while working in the transportation industry.
Survivors include his children Sayla Fay, Sophorn (R. Doug) Bechtel, Sophiny (Doug) Morgan, Ben (Channtha) Fay, Sorya (Ray) Nees, Sotheary (Jamie) Verstraete, Rosemary (Ossie Boddie) Fay, and Patty Fay; grandchildren Kayla, Kaleb, and Kaylan Bechtel, Samantha, Riley, and Ryan Morgan, Emily Axelson, Haylie Covemaker, Anisa and Malinda Fay, Dan Nees, Nathanial and Allen Verstraete, Anthony, Akira, and Teyas Boddie; great-grandchildren Fulton, Joan, and Eden Axelson, and Marley, Sage, Rowan, Elliott, and Lewis Nees. Survivors in Cambodia include his children Pril Lai, Pril Songha, Pril Keolong, Noun Thy, Yan Seveth, Mourn Ly, Po Sophy, Mourn Yanny, Son Saveth, Reasmey Ponlear, Rourng Sreynet, Rourng Raya, Sreu Leng, Moa Dalin, and Moa Savan; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Tem Hull and Roeun Men.
