Ralph A. Kuhn. age 81, of Coal Valley, died Friday, November 12. 2004 at his home.
A time of rememberance will be from 3:00-5:30 with relatives and friends at the First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley on Sunday, November 14, 2004. There will be a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the church immediatley following. According to his wishes, his body will be cremated. Private family graveside services will be at Glennwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley or Pathway Hospice. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is asisting the family.
Ralph was born on March 22, 1923 in Des Moines, IA the son of Gehard and Marie Carr Kuhn. He married Mary R. Rugh on February 12, 1947 in Coal Valley. She preceded him in death on November 20, 1999. He later married Betty Wright Gould on July 1, 2000 in Coal Valley.
Ralph was employed as a lithographer at Wagoner Printing in Galesburg, IL for 32 years, retiring in 1976.
Ralph was an Army World War II disabled veteran, receiving the Purple Heart for injuries received in Italy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley and also a member of the American Legion, Galesburg.
