Bill Ziemer, 67, of Orion, IL, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Farlow Grove Cemetery, Matherville. Memorials may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research.
Bill was born on November 4, 1945, in Moline, IL, the son of Harold and Doris (Eckhart) Ziemer. He married Judith A. Wade on December 23, 1968, in Wayne, Nebraska. Bill worked at John Deere Harvester, Moline, for 31 years, retiring in 1996. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bill enjoyed sports and was a St. Louis Cardinal's fan. He loved motorcycles and classic cars. Above all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
