Raymond "Ray" T. Tarbay, 48, of Roscoe, Illinois formerly of Moline, Illinois died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Esterdahl Mortuary, 6601 38th Ave., Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00pm service time. Cremation rites were accorded. Born July 29, 1960 in Moline, Illinois son of Thomas and Evelyn (Knisel) Tarbay. Employed at Zenith Cutter in sales. Married Nina Vermost November 12, 1988 in Geneseo. Former member of the Moose in Geneseo. Loved playing his guitar and playing pool with friends. Ray loved his children and family deeply. He was a very devoted father, husband and son. When Ray loved you, it was deeply. He was a volunteer for the Special Olympics and the Paint A Thon. He was a Steelers fan.
Survivors include his parents of Moline; wife, Nina of Roscoe; two sons, Jaymeson and Eddie; daughter, Ivy; all of Roscoe; three sisters, Chris (Frank) Kiss of Florida, Dodie (Mike) Hollinger of Moline, IL, and Penny Bedenger of Taylorville, IL; in-laws, Bill (Ruth) Vermost of Geneseo, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by his grandparents.
