Rebecca "Beckie" Kay Sherfey

Rebecca "Beckie" Kay Sherfey tragically passed on Monday, October 4th, 2021, at the age of 47.

Beckie was born to Joyce Anthony and David Severns on July 13th, 1974, in Silvis, Illinois.

Beckie was family to everyone she met, no matter what walk of life they were on. If you knew her, she loved you. She spent her life taking care of others no matter the cost. Beckie had a heart of gold and a personality that shined even brighter. She wanted to be everything to everyone she met. She would never hesitate to give her last dollar or open her home to those in need. Beckie was a caregiver at heart. She was always ready with a hot meal and a big hug whenever it was needed. Beckie loved cooking, crafting, fishing, and spending time with her family, but furthermore, she adored her granddaughter.

She is survived by her dad, Kenneth White, Rock Island; her children, Tylor (Amanda) Severns, Colona; Shilo (Eryn Myers) Sherfey, Tiffin; her granddaughter, Maddison Severns, Colona; her sisters, Dianna (Jayder) Downing, Colona; Nicole (Kyle) Kosgard, East Moline; her brothers, Mike (Sandra) Keim, Rock Island; James (Shellie) Severns, Rock Island; as well as 14 nieces and nephews; and 21 great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mom, Joyce Anthony; her father, David Severns; her mother-in-law, Janet Williams; her late husband, Jeff Sherfey; her longtime companion, Jeff Silver; her fiance, Robert Boatner; and her nephews, Donavin Keim and Jeremiah Jernigan.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the Colona American Legion, Colona, IL.  The family requests that all wear pajama pants. Memorials may be made to the family.  Flowers may be sent to the Legion.
