Regina Ella Pribyl

Regina Ella "Corky" Pribyl, age 94, of Milan, formerly of Kalona, IA, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Private family services will be held. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Regina was born April 9, 1916 in Crookston, MN, the daughter of Leander and Clara E. (Smidsang) Olson. She married Alfred McCorkel on April 17, 1934. Mr. McCorkel died on December 15, 1960, and she married Harold Pribyl of Riverside on July 23, 1967. Mr. Pribyl died on January 27, 1990.
Regina drove a fork lift truck during WW II at the Rock Island Arsenal loading ammunition. She later was employed at Sears, Roebuck in Moline, Iowa City, and South Park Mall, Moline. She had been with Sears for 38 years, retiring in 2002. Regina was a 1933 graduate of Moline High School. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Wellman, IA. Regina loved working, and was happiest when she was doing so.
