Reuben C Anderson, Jr.

Reuben Carl Anderson, Jr.,85, of Moline, died Thursday, August 9, 2018, at his home.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 27, 2018, at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.  Anyone wishing to attend services needs to meet at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline, at 8:45 a.m. Monday for procession to the cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #246.  All need to use 70th Street for access to the funeral home due to the road construction.

Reuben was born on April 26, 1933, in Moline, the son of Reuben C. and Ella (Kluever) Anderson, Sr.  He had worked as a mechanic at Olson’s Auto & Brake Service, retiring in 1998 after 25 years.

Reuben was a U.S. Veteran, serving with the Army.  He loved his time participating with the local American Legion Posts.  He was a member of the Viking Club of Moline.  Reuben loved working on old cars and cruising around town in his 56’ Pontiac.

Survivors include his children, Randy (Renae) Anderson, Moline, Teri (David) Lorenz, Bend, OR, Kori Hailey, Moline, Kandi Stotlar, Davenport; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lorena and Marge.
