Richard D. Brokaw, 83, of Osco, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at his home.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Burial will be in Morristown Cemetery.
Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Richard was born September 16, 1925 in Stronghurst, IL to Abram and Anna (Weir) Brokaw. He married Lois L. Long on April 14, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.
He was involved with the U.S. Trotting Association where he cared for, trained and raced the horses.
He is survived by

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers Allan, Weir, Harold, Robert and sister Evelyn.
