Richard H. Anderson, 77, of Lynn Center, IL died June 9, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, IL
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church, Ophiem, IL. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion, IL Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the church or Orion Ambulance.
Richard was born June 30, 1927 in Moline, IL to Arvid and Karin Nelson Anderson. He graduated from Orion High School in 1945. He married Janice Munson Bealer on June 18, 1955 in Prophetstown, IL.
Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He went to administrative school in the 101st Airborne Division and served in the Battalion Headquarters in Fort Eustis, VA. He also served a tour of duty in Labrador.
Richard was a farmer in the Ophiem and Lynn Center areas. He was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church, where he was baptized, confirmed and later a council member. He was a member of Ophiem American Legion and Henry County Farm Bureau.
Family was very important to Richard and he deeply loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
