Richard "Ken" Jackson, Sr., 63, of Barstow, died October 12, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island with military rites conducted by American Legion #246, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Ken was born January 21, 1943 in Burlington, IA to Russell and Leah (Hollett) Jackson. He married Bonnie Talbot on June 21, 1969 in Rock Island.
Ken was a fork truck driver for IH Case New Holland. He was currently working as a courtesy driver for Lujack's.
Ken was an U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1962-1966. He was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Hampton Fire Department and a member of the UAW #1304. In his younger years, he coached little league baseball and biddy basketball.
