Richard B. Kommer

Richard B. Kommer, age 57, of Orion, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1001-9th Street, Orion. Visitation is from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial is at Lutheran Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Richard was born February 4, 1955 in Moline, the son of Richard E. and Phyllis Jean Kohls Kommer. He married Dawn (Keller) Colman on November 8, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion.
Richard retired in 2011 after 38 years as a control operator for Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Orion. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, yard work, and being outdoors. Richard loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren; especially "Brezzy" who was the apple of his eye.
