Richard Lindstrom

Richard Axel Hedman Lindstrom, 91, of Silvis formerly of Orion, IL, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at Illini Restorative Care/Wellspire, Silvis.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Western Township Cemetery, Orion.  Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.  In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Richard was born on December 30, 1928, in the Orion area, the son of Axel and Hilda (Hedman) Lindstrom.  He married Bonita J. Anderson on May 1, 1949, in Orion.  She preceded him in death on August 29, 1987.  He was a member of Geneseo Moose Lodge and Moline Family Campers.  He enjoyed camping and grilling outside.

Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Erickson, Rockford, IL, and Lori (Doug) Downing, Rock Island; grandchildren, Amber (Jeremy) Layman, Thomas Downing and Darrin (Rachel) Erickson; great grandchildren, Jack and Mackenzie Erickson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters, Cora and Esther.
