Richard Irwin Nicholson, 75, of Lynn Center, died December 3, 2007 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a memorial mass at 1 p.m. Wed. December 12, 2007 at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. Inurnment will be at Lynn Center Cemetery, Lynn Township, IL. for Richard and his wife Dolores. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, .Ltd. is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Oak Glen Home in Richard's memory.
Richard was born August 12, 1932 in Ottawa, IL to William and Annabel (Carnes) Nicholson. He married Dolores T. Milerek on May 20, 1956 in Chicago. She preceded him in death in July 21, 1999.
Richard was a member of Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion.He was a truck driver for Eagles where he was known as "Sparky". He also worked at John Deere Harvester as a foundry worker. In his youth, he was a professional wrestler.
Richard enjoyed playing the organ and he liked toy trucks.
