Richard "Dick" Randall Pope, 79, of Moline, died December 10, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2007 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Greenview Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum. Memorials may be made to his family or Q.C. Lutheran Deaf Ministry, Davenport.
Dick was born February 18, 1928 in Uniontown, KS to Charles and Sarah (Brown) Pope, Sr. He married Sharon K. (Hageman) Hubbard on May 15, 1982 in Moline.
Dick worked in Burlington, IA for 23 years before moving to Q.C. working for J.I. Case in Bettendorf for 11 years. He retired on October 1, 1984.
Dick was a member of Q.C. Lutheran Deaf Ministry, Davenport. He was the former president for 17 years of the Deaf Association in Burlington, IA. He was also the former president of the Blackhawk Chapter of Deaf Association. He loved fishing and watching football on T.V.
