Richard Vandemore, 82, of Moline, Illinois, died on November 9, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Military rites will be accorded by the East Moline American Legion Post #227. Memorials may be made the donor's choice of charity.

Richard was born on May 15, 1931 in Annawan. He married Mildred Hines on January 30, 1974.

Richard was an Army veteran from the Korean Conflict. He was a member of both the East Moline American Legion Post #227 and the Annawan VFW Post #7176. Richard was a truck driver for Sears & Roebuck. He enjoyed Bowling and rolle bolle.
