Robert E. Anders, age 74, of Moline, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. The family will be having a repast after burial at New Journey AME (formerly St. Paul AME Church, Moline).
Robert was born March 16, 1934 in Moline, the son of James and Lucinda (Travis) Anders. He married Mary Lou McGruder on May 11, 1955 in Macomb, IL. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2003.
Robert was employed as a supervisor in A Division of the student union by Western Illinois University. He was a member of St. Paul AME Church, Moline.
